Acrylic--A Painterly Approach
This
class will cover the use of acrylics in a loose, painterly approach,
similar to what you might see with the use of oils. The quick drying
time of acrylics is best for studio painting. Landscape and wildlife
will be the focus. Due to copyright issues, the instructor advises you
to bring a photo or two of your own, or someone's who you have
permission to use. The instructor will also provide photo resources of
his own for student use. The workshop will focus on interpreting a
photo, not copying it. This involves using color and brush strokes in
an individualistic, expressive way. Though realism will be the
emphasis, the instructor encourages a loose, even abstract use of the
medium for those interested. The instructor will provide demos, as well
