| Roseann Munger
has been a well-known portrait artist for nearly twenty years, her portraits
including the late United States Supreme Court Chief Justice William Rehnquist,
commissioned by the University
Of Arizona College Of Law.
Several years ago, she made an artistic career change
and now concentrates upon creating oil paintings that are not portraits as
such, but that show people in their every day lives, playing chess outside
under a parasol, mothers with children at play, cafe scenes on the patio -
all emphasizing warm sunshine lighting against cool colors of the shadows,
with strong contrasts that draw the eye and help the
viewer "feel the temperature" of the painting.
Roseann has studied in classes by fine artists
Harley Brown, Doug Dawson, Kim
English, Joni Falk, Daniel Greene, Heidi Moran, Ron Riddick, Phil Starke, and
Sally Strand.
She is a Member of Oil Painters of
America, American Women Artists, and Tucson Plein Air Society. |
