Esther Rogoway

Esther Rogoway paints dreamlike images of horses and humans that draw us deep into our own subconscious, into worlds we feel but cannot put into words. There is a mystical, spiritual quality in the images that is enhances by a richness and depth of color. As the daughter of well-known artist, Alfred Rogoway, Esther grew up around artists, writers, and poets and lived in art communities around the world: San Francisco and Big Sur, California, Santa Fe and Taos, New Mexico, Cannes Sur Mer and Mijas, Spain.

While living in Europe, she studied at the Tumbridge Wells School of Art, England and The Art Institute of Barcelona, Spain. During her years in Mijas, she studied under Harry Morgan, Ann Dahlstrom and her father. On returning to the United States, she continued her studies at a junior college and Northern Arizona University.

Esther worked for a number of years as a commercial artist, married and raised a family. Now that her children are grown, she is able to focus her attention on her painting and express her feelings on canvas.
